Initiate - A person who has begun their training within the Hermetic Order and has begun on the Path of one of the Circles. (Initiate of the First Circle)

Adept - An initiate who has completed the nescessary requirements for more than half of a Circles spells. (Adept of the First Circle)

Master - An Adept who has mastered all of the Circles spells. (Master of the First Circle) Conversely, any Spellcaster who has Mastered all the spells of a certain Element gains the title of Master of that Element. IE Master of Fire, Air, Water, Earth

Circle - A general power level of a spell and Spellcaster progression.

Spell Class - The general descriptive catagory that the Spell Belongs to. Earth, Fire, Etc, etc etc. The Spell caster must be able to cast the corresponding spell of the First Circle to be able to cast a high level spell of the same Spell Class.

Prerequisite - What a spell caster needs before being able to Learn or Cast a specific spell.

Chantry : The secret meeting place and ritual temple of the Hermetic Order in each City. Can be anywhere from a small house to a large mansion depending upon the age and power level of the Chantry and members of the Order in the City.

Spellcost: Each level of Spellcasting proficiency grants the Spellcaster 6 Points of Power per day, going up an additional 6 points through each of the 9 levels of proficiency until 54 Points of power are achieved at Mastery of the Third Circle. First Circle Spells cost 2 Points to cast, Second Circle Spells cost 5 points to cast and Third Circle spells cost 10 points to cast.

Initiate of the First Circle: The Spellcaster must be accepted into the Hermetic Order to gain access to the Spell Books of the First Circle.

Adept of the First Circle: The Spellcaster must have completed and learned at least half of the First Circle Spells and have Contributed at least two spells of their own to the First Circle Grimoire.

Master of the First Circle : The Spellcaster must have mastered all of the First Circle spells and have contributed at least two more spells to the First Circle Grimoire.

Canon of the First Circle: Honorary Title given to the most powerful First Circle Master. In charge of the training and conduct of all First Circle Spellcasters

Initiate of the Second Circle: The Spellcaster must at least be an Adept of the First Circle to be given access to the Spellbooks of the Second Circle

Adept of the Second Circle: Must have mastered at least half of the Second Circle Spells and contributed at least two spells to the Second Circle Grimoire.

Master of the Second Circle: Must have mastered all Second Circle spells and contributed at least two more spells to the Second Circle Grimoire.

Canon of the Second Circle: Honorary Title given to the most powerful Second Circle Master. In charge of the training and conduct of all Second Circle Spellcasters.

Initiate of the Third Circle: The Spellcaster must be a Master of the First Circle, and an Adept of the Second Circle before being granted access to the spells of the Third Circle. Once access to the Third Circle is granted, the Spellcaster gains access to three Third Circle Spells only until they attain the Rank of Master of the Second Circle.

Adept of the Third Circle: Spellcaster must have mastered at least half of the Third Circle Spells and contributed two spells to the Third Circle Grimoire.

Master of the Third Circle: Must have Mastered all the Spells of the Hermetic Order and contributed 4 additional spells. Two to the Third Circle Grimoire and at least one to each of the other Circles.

Canon of the Third Circle: Honorary Title Given to the Most powerful Third Circle Master Spellcaster. Rules over the Hermetic Order's Chantry city.
